The Future of Learning

Something Has To Give

Traditional education is broken! Have you ever heard the quote, “Those that can’t teach”? This is one of the reasons that traditional classroom education is failing especially at the College and University levels, but it’s not the main reason. The main reason is that a college education has become big business. For the last fifty years the focus of higher education has been moving from the student to the bottom line.

College Administrators Call The Shots

This preoccupation with the bottom line has even caused the status of the Educators to fall below Administrators. Educators are not only outnumbered and paid less then Administrators, they have almost no voice in policy and stand meekly aside, as Administrators call all the shots and set all the rules.

Who Wants To Be A Debt Slave

The incredible increase in Tuition over the last fifty years, ( At the University of Denver, a credit hour cost $43.75 in 1973, today it costs $1300.00 a credit hour) is not only creating generations of debt slaves, it is quickly driving these institutions into irrelevancy. More and more a College Diploma is looking like a poor investment.

Old Fashion Way Of Teaching

It’s been said that if you took a student out of a college lecture hall in 1908 and placed him on a modern Campus of today, the only thing he would recognize as familiar would be the lecture hall. The only change is a white board instead of a black board.

Self-Learning Movement

As Colleges and Universities continue to slip unconsciously into irrelevance, a new method of learning is emerging, that is distinctly different then anything we’ve seen before. The old model of E-Learning is being supplanted by a hybrid being called Self-Learning.

Teach A Skill You Know

Technology is making it possible now for “Those that can” to also teach. The future of Learning in the 21st Century is where successful entrepreneurs will use a Mastermind approach, utilizing internet communities, workshops and groups to teach their targeted market the skills they currently use. They will either promote themselves, virtually or in person, as the expert, reporter or broker of the skills desired.

The Technology Is There

Using a wide variety of internet technologies these Self-Learning Entrepreneurs will be able to identify their customers, create a need, promote their product, offer an irresistible offer, and establish a sales funnel that handles the transactions and establishes an e-mail list for future offers and follow-up.

Recession Proof

In an Economy that will continue to see advances in technology and automation, we will see jobs that are common today, become obsolete tomorrow. This model is recession proof as more and more people are displaced.

E-Learning Is Changing

We are seeing the mainstay components of what we know as E-Learning today  changing at a very fast rate. Writing an e-book or hard bound book while providing immediate credibility and offer potential is still a laborious endeavor, especially when you take into consideration that 95% of all the books in Barnes and Nobel sell less then 1000 copies.

You Can Teach Thousands

Creating and producing on-line courses are not only expensive productions to produce, but studies show that only 9% of people actually finish a course once they start. Technology now allows you to personally give a course to potential thousands with very little overhead. And maintain that sense of community and immediacy that people are looking for.

It’s a brave new world and the methods and models of even a few years ago are changing.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming; The Pre-Suppositions

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a name that encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience: neurology, language and programming.  ).NLP is a pragmatic school of thought – an ‘epistemology’ – that addresses the many levels involved in being human.

NLP is a multi-dimensional process that involves the development of behavioral competence and flexibility, but also involves strategic thinking and an understanding of the mental and cognitive processes behind behavior.

NLP provides tools and skills for the development of states of individual excellence, but it also establishes a system of empowering beliefs and presuppositions about what human beings are, what communication is and what the process of change is all about.

In essence, all of NLP is founded on six fundamental presuppositions:

1. The Map is Not the Territory. As human beings, we can never know reality. We can only know our perceptions of reality. It is generally not reality that limits us or empowers us, but rather our map of reality.

2. The Past Doesn’t Equal the Future.   These systems are based on certain ‘self-organizing’ principles and naturally seek optimal states of balance or homeostasis.Believing that we ar doomed to repeat the past, leads to a lack of self-esteem and a general feeling of hopelessness.

3. People Aren’t Broken. The idea of original sin is a dis-empowering belief. Part of religious orthodoxy in the west, this fallacy is not prevalent in most eastern religions.

4. Everything is Achievable. Just because we don’t know how, doesn’t mean it’s not possible. The word impossible is a dis-empowering belief that minimizes hope. You can achieve by forming appropriate strategies.

5. Empowerment Comes Via Responsibility. Dependence upon how others see us, feel about us or approve of us affects all our actions. There are no gurus. True maturity is the acceptance of responsibility.

6. People Respond to Perception Not Reality. Our minds filter the world to agree with our beliefs. As a man thinks so shall he be. Just because we assume doesn’t mean it is.

Scientist theorize that the world pushes two billion bits of information a second. Humans only adsorb 134,000 bits per second, using our five senses and our beliefs which automatically eliminate bits that don’t conform. We eliminate more then we take in. We then compare this collage to our mental library of beliefs, to determine what it means, and how it makes us feel, only then do we respond. Our reality is all about the story in our heads.

All of the models and techniques of NLP are based on the combination of the above per-suppositions. In the belief system of NLP it is not possible for human beings to know objective reality. Rather, the goal is to create the richest map possible that respects the systemic nature and ecology of ourselves and the world we live in.

The people who are most effective are the ones who have a map of the world that allows them to perceive the greatest number of available choices and perspectives. NLP is a way of enriching the choices that you have and perceive  in the world around you.

Excellence comes from having many choices. Wisdom comes from having multiple perspectives. Through the years, NLP has developed some very powerful tools and skills for communication and change in a wide range of professional areas including: counseling, psychotherapy, education, health, creativity, law, management, sales, leadership and parenting.

NLP is now in its fith decade as a field of study and has evolved considerably since its beginnings in the mid 1970s. Over the years, NLP has literally spread around the world and has touched the lives of millions of people.

Since the 1990’s, a new generation of NLP has been developing. This form of NLP addresses generative and systemic applications and focuses on high level issues such as identity, vision and mission.

Follow me as I continue to plumb the depths of this Science, extrapolating the key components, for your review and consideration.

Decline of the Retail Store; And The Rise Of Network Marketing

The Change is Historic

The systemic change in the retail landscape is historic. Affecting the five distinct types of retail stores. All Brick and Mortar operations are struggling to stay both competitive and relevant in the face of the ever increasing popularity, of buying on-line. With  deep assortments, lower prices, free shipping and liberal return policies the on-line stores have been able to hit them where it hurts. The ability to buy in the comfort of your own home without fighting traffic and dealing with poor management and surely sales people, seems like a win win to most people. Lets look at a sample of what’s happening .

Traditional Department Stores; This segment has been especially hard hit over the last twenty years, Macy’s has been in slow decline for years, closing 129 Stores since 2015, and now Lord &Taylor, the 192 year old company announced it’s closing 20% of it’s stores, with Abecrombie & Fitch  closing 29 stores. Luxury items were the first segment to see the effect of on-line sales.

Promotional Department Stores; Sears continues to struggle announcing the closing of 80 more stores, with J C Penny closing another 140 stores. And recently Shopko announced they will be closing 70% of their stores. The ripple effect from luxury to now promo priced goods.

Discount Department Stores; Kmart announced closing an additional 284 Stores with Family Dollar announcing the closure of 390 stores. Even discounters can’t compete with on-line prices.

Specialty Stores; Have been especially hard hit. Children’s Place closing 300 stores, Payless closing 2500 stores,Gymboree 800 stores, Charlotte Russe 94 stores. Gap 230 stores, H & M 160 stores, even Starbucks announced closing 150 stores. Not to mention that Foot Locker, Toys R Us, and Baby R Us  disappeared in 2018.

Warehouse Stores; Lowes closing 50 stores, and Sam’s Club announced they are closing 60 stores.

A fundamental Re-alignment

This isn’t by any means a complete list but I think that it highlights the fact that Brick and Mortar stores are not going through a minor shake out of under performing stores, but instead this is a fundamental change in the retail landscape. Experts predict 8,640 stores will close this year, and this change has been going on for years and looks like it will continue into the next five years easy.

Tech Over Takes Retail Industry

E-Commerce continues to take a larger piece of the Retail pie. 517 Billion in 2018 up a incredible 15% from the prior year. Vacant retail space has reached record highs across the country, driving down the price to lease, to an all time low. While bewildered CEO’s lament that they built to many stores, and were asleep at the switch, as internet shopping took off.

Hundreds of Thousands Displaced Workers

The question I keep asking myself is where are all these retail employees going? Not only the hourly associates but logistics, traffic, warehouse, buyers and management personnel. 89,000 jobs gone since October alone, with tens of thousands more on the way. Not to mention a lot of CEO’s who will never get hired again.

Network Marketing Offers a Solution

If you can’t beat them join them. Network Marketing is a logical next step for a professional retailer who has been thrown out on the streets. You only have to look at the massive explosion of Network Marketing (M.L.M) businesses over the last five years, to see that they are absorbing a lot of these displaced retailers.  The industry has seen a 90%  growth over the last ten years.

Control Your Own Destiny

Network Marketing is so varied in it’s product offerings, that it appeals to almost everyone, and has become a popular option for many of these displaced professionals, who want to take control their own lives and not be at the mercy of Corporate Retail, which has shown themselves to be greedy, short sighted, and terribly misinformed.

Why Are So Many Afraid

Not only do these professionals want self control of their own destinies, they want to control their own schedule, be their own boss, work from home and have unlimited income potential. The only industry that can give them all these things and more is Network Marketing. So why are so many professionals still skeptical about Network Marketing? see Why Boomers Get UberJobs There are a number of reasons, lets take a look at a few of them.

Image

Say Multi Level Marketing to someone in their fifties or sixties and they immediately think scam. While the industry had a reputation problem in it’s infancy, recent years have seen a lot of changes. The clearest distinction between the scams and the legit businesses is in “the push” to sign on reps, as opposed to the actual selling of product. Often scams have hefty sign-on fees to become a rep and this is what fuels the Ponzi scheme. A legitimate model, by contrast, is one where there are incentives in place, to reward those who are actually selling the product to customers, rather then just to other reps in their down line.

High Failure Rate

The reason for the high failure rate in Network Marketing, is that most people don’t treat it like a business with deadlines, goals, action plans, budgets etc. Nor do they put in the work that it takes to build a sales and marketing business. It’s easy to be distracted working at home. They are often not teachable and don’t function well in a team environment. You won’t succeed if you only rely on your family and friends for your sales.

Believe in Your Product

It’s all about finding a product you believe in an marketing it. As you develop your social media skills and start finding customers, you will also find people that want to be more then just a customer. The beautiful thing about Network Marketing is that you do better when people you bring on do better. You have a vested interest in seeing them reach self-actualization.

Building a Network is Rewarding

Working on a simple model of finding three foundation team members, and then training them to find their three foundation members and so on, will quickly lead to a down line that creates a substantial residual income. The business is all about being in it for yourself but not by yourself. Network marketing is a business that develops you as a leader, and with success comes the confidence to take on larger and larger challenges as you push yourself to help more and more people.

Is Network Marketing For Me?

Learn New Skills

In an earlier blog, Work At Home Opportunities  I wrote,”The Internet opens up the opportunity for desktop retailing to anyone with a Web connection and a reasonable amount of ambition. The skills you learn now, will pay dividends in the future. This being said why do so many Home Based Businesses face such strong resistance, when trying to build their Network? Why are people so skeptical?”

Business of the 21st Century

One of the problems are the experiences Baby Boomers have had with Pyramid Schemes in the past, so that when they hear M.L.M or Network Marketing they immediately associate it with that. With technology Network Marketing has become the business of the 21st century. In the last seven recessions it has only grown. It really comes down to if they are actually marketing a product or an idea.

Pyramid Schemes Don’t Sell Product

The problem with Pyramid Schemes is that they charge ever increasing amounts of money for recruits to join and to advance in the commission structure, these monies are paid to the people at the top. Their focus is on recruitment of people, not on selling product. They exert pressure on associates to attend trainings, (mastermind seminars) in order to qualify to receive higher commission levels.

Direct Selling, We All Do It Now

Network Marketing is a form of direct selling, ( the person to person sale of goods or services). It can utilize a few different strategies to generate commission payments, such as for, direct sales of product, recruiting, lead generation and management. Network Marketing may be referred to by a variety of names, including “multilevel marketing”, “cellular marketing”, affiliate marketing”, “consumer direct marketing (C.D.M)”,referral marketing”,” pyramid selling” and “home based business franchising”

Levels and Tiers

When evaluating a Network Marketing company it makes sense to consider how many level or tiers there are, as they can dictate how affiliated individuals earn money.

Single level or tier: is when participants are paid based on the direct sales, they send to a merchant or traffic driven to an affiliates website, (also known as lead generation or pay per click).

Two level or tier: is where participants are paid on the direct sales they refer to a merchant or it’s site, as well as a percentage of the direct traffic or sales generated by the affiliates who joined the network via their recommendation

Multi-level or tier: Same as the two tier or level but may extend to several more tiers, each kicking back a portion of their commissions to the original participant.

Determining Legitimacy

An issue in determining the legitimacy of a multi-level company is whether it sells it’s products primarily to consumers or to it’s members, who must recruit new members to buy their products, can’t buy product unless your a member. If it’s the former, then the company is a legitimate multi-level marketer. If it’s the latter, it could be an illegal pyramid scheme. The FTC has been investigating M.L.M companies for several decades and has found many that blur the lines between the two.

It’s a Fine Line

A good rule of thumb, according to the FTC is that single tier network marketing tend to be more reputable, but multi-levels in which people make money based on the number of distributors they recruit, rather then self generated sales, can be problematic. Some reputable examples of single tier companies are Avon, Mary Kay and Excel Communications.

What To Look For

When evaluating a Network Marketing company, here are some things to look for.

  • Was it pitched as a chance to make money by selling products or by recruiting others. Ideally down-line affiliates should be recruited as customers first.
  • Who is at the top of the Network  (the up-line) and are they willing to divulge how much they are paid.
  • Company Founders track record.
  • Are you and up-line enthusiastic about the products, would you be willing to buy them? Do you know anybody who would? Can you sell them?
  • Can you quickly make a profit selling their products?
  • How is the product being promoted? Does it seem unique and well marketed?

It’s Perfect For Baby Boomers

According to many  the Network Marketing industry has a bright future ahead. In fact over the years people all over the world who are stepping into the industry find the business very lucrative. Direct selling is one of the best ways to build residual income. Many feel that it’s the best time to enter the business.

How To Deal With The Skeptic

As for dealing with the skeptics, it’s only when the focus is on what the business can do for the person, will resistance start to wane. 80% of decisions are made on emotion, you have to be able to show people what your opportunity can do for them, how it will make them feel. Network Marketing success leads to personal empowerment, you become the person of your dreams, living a life of freedom and happiness. The more you grow as a person the bigger your income becomes. Doubt and worry are replaced by certainty and confidence as you watch your business grow to heights you never dreamed of.In order to do that you have to know your ideal prospect. Their profile, problems and desires.

In Conclusion

Eliminate the fear of financial insecurity by simply making a decision to start helping people help themselves. By simply introducing them to this groundbreaking product, a majority will love the way it makes them feel and a minority will see an opportunity to

  1. Help Themselves
  2. Help others

With clarity of thought we see that we are the only ones limiting ourselves from achieving everything we want in life.We filter the world with our limiting beliefs. Stop dis-empowering yourself.

Work At Home Opportunities

The Future is Now

In his book “Futureconsumer.com”, Frank Feather, describes how when technologies increase in usage the price to use them drops. He wrote, from 1890 to 1930 the cost of electricity fell by 65% as the electrical network expanded and more people used it. In Turn many entrenched methods of doing things were swept away.  Electricity made the steam engine obsolete and suppliers of gas lighting went bust..

The Internet is Getting Cheaper

.The same happened with telecommunications. In 1860 a trans-Atlantic telegram cost $1 per word ($60 in today’s money), so few businesses, never mind individuals, could afford to send one. Today, a three minute phone call between New York and London costs about $2 versus $250 in 1930. Thanks to the internet, the cost of planet-wide phone calls has plunged to zero, with even a trans-Atlantic video call costing only pennies.

Will Continue to Revolutionize Commerce

The cost of computer processing has plunged more rapidly than any other network technology in history. Between 1951 and 1984 the inflation adjusted price of computing power fell 19.8 percent annually and by 28.2% a year since then. A 1975 mainframe computer performed at 10 MIPS (million instructions per second) and cost $10 million. Today’s PCs operate at close to 100 times that speed at 0.01 percent of the cost. This 99.9 percent decline in the cost of computing has and will continue to revolutionize life, society, and commerce.

Everyone Will Want a Web Lifestyle

To quote Marshall McLuhan “With computers we are headed for cottage economics where industrial activities can be carried on in any little shack anywhere on the globe.” Across the continent, tens of millions of people have become determined to “get a life”- a Web Lifestyle at home

Working at Home Opportunities.

During the 1980s the number of people working at home jumped 56 percent, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, with 3.4 million Americans working at home in 1990, accounting for three percent of the workforce. By 1999 this had jumped to 19.6 million, or 17 percent of the workforce. Today a conservative estimate is that 43 percent of Americans work from home, at least some of the week. Work at home opportunities will only continue to grow in the future.

Learn New Skills

The Internet opens up the opportunity for desktop retailing to anyone with a Web connection and a reasonable amount of ambition. The skills you learn now, will pay dividends in the future. This being said why do so many Home Based Businesses face such strong resistance  when trying to build their Network? Why are people so skeptical?

Any Warm Body

It’s because for years Network Marketers have used the “any warm body will do” approach to getting people into the business. People that take this approach think they are “working the numbers” and eventually will find people who will make good business partners.

The Old Approach

This approach wastes a lot of time and irritates a lot of people, which adds to the reputation problem of Network Marketing. Unfortunately as long as companies continue to pay sign up bonuses to reward recruiting, this practice will not go away.

The New Approach

Only when the focus is on what the business can do for the person, will resistance start to wane. 80% of decisions are made on emotion, you have to be able to show people what your opportunity can do for them, how it will make them feel. In order to do that you have to know your ideal prospect. Their profile, problems and desires.

Know Your Prospect

Baby Boomers, who for whatever reason, find themselves wanting to re-enter the workplace, make for ideal prospects. The profile is usually, but not always a white collared worker who has worked ten to twenty years with one or two companies, and for any number of reasons wants to re-enter the job market. The problem is that even though age discrimination is against the law, prospects can only find jobs that are 100% commission, like insurance, real estate, automotive sales and time share, or just as bad are the  mind numbing customer service jobs in fast food and retail or to add insult to injury you can pay for the privilege to drive for Uber or Lyft.

Still in the Infancy

The Webolution is unwinding everything that the industrial revolution put in place. We are still in the infancy of just how big e-commerce will become, and the role the Independent Internet Business Operator will play.

The Future

On-line Shopping and Banking is only the beginning, soon we will have virtual “touch and try on for size” clothes and automobiles. Digital downloads will make books obsolete, and e-learning will take schooling out of the schools. E-prescriptions and virtual Doctors will change medicine as we currently know it. And a virtual cosmetic industry will change how we buy cosmetics.

Internet Can Solve Your Problems

As Bill Gates stated in his 1999 book “Business @ and the Speed of Thought”, our biggest opportunity is to use digital technology to help customers solve problems for themselves and, in turn allow companies to respond immediately to complex customer needs, this is particularly pertinent to online marketing strategies.

It Creates Options

Network Marketing is not only here to stay but it offers a wealth of benefits to anyone lucky enough to get involved in it’s infancy. This industry is about hope and helping people. It allows Baby Boomers to create options in life, where they did not think there where any. It can change your life. Why Baby Boomers are not retiring. Why Baby Boomers are not retiring

Are You Being Selfish

To be successful in Network Marketing it’s important that you don’t treat it like a sales job. If you do you will only twist in your mind, that you are being selfish for trying to get friends and family on board. When actually it’s the opposite, your selfish if you care to much at being rejected vs. focusing on helping people. See How to Influence People: Be a Farmer Not a Hunter

How to Influence People: Be a Farmer Not a Hunter

It’s Not A Sales Job

If you view building your network as a sales job then your going about it all wrong. It’s not about how to recruit people, it’s about how to influence people. People in most cases hate to be recruited, to be sold, but they don’t mind being influenced, to buy.

Don’t Be A Recruiter

It’s the difference between being a hunter and being a farmer, just like the difference between being a recruiter or a person of influence.

The Hunter

A hunter is a sales person who chases and hunts, new leads and opportunities. He likes the excitement of the hunt, he builds a blind to surprise the lead. He uses a high powered weapon to kill any objections. Once they “bag” their prey they are on to the next target. They have little patience and are only interested in the hunt.

The Farmer

A farmer works his leads and opportunities. He is interested in nurturing and growing his leads. He cultivates the relationship, looking for ways that it can benefit both the lead and himself. With a thoughtful and respectful approach he cultivates trust. With caring solutions to problems he kills the weeds of doubt. Training and follow-up provides the fertilization, that leads to a harvest of bounty.

A Warm Body

A person who recruits can build a network fast, but it won’t grow and be self sustaining because the recruiter is never interested in the recruit as a person, they are just a warm body to them.

A Person You Care About

A person who uses influence  may build his network slower but it’s stable and self sustaining because he cares about people, he wants them to grow, just as much if not more then the network.

It;s About Sharing

When you influence people to join a network you want to show them how they will benefit. Showing them how they can take control of their lives, it’s about sharing not taking. The five biggest benefits of being in a network are.

Five Benefits

  1. Content Resources: The sharing of information, the how to and what for. The greatest resource are the people in your network. You become part of a positive and motivated team that has you in their best interest.
  2. Personal Support: People need people, especially now. The days of being a lone wolf are over. More and more we survive and endure by supporting each other. With the help and support of your network you can change tremendously as a person, physically, intellectually and financially.
  3. Help: No one wants to see you succeed more then your network. They are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure you get the training, information and resources you need. Your in business for yourself, but not by yourself.
  4. Sense of Belonging: This fundamental human need is enhanced within a network striving for a common goal. To see people in your network achieve their dreams, and help you achieve yours is what makes life enjoyable.
  5. Personal Empowerment: Become the person of your dreams, living a life of freedom and happiness. The more you grow as a person the bigger your income becomes. Doubt and worry are replaced by certainty and confidence as you watch your business grow to heights you never dreamed of.

Reason Most People Join

If your lucky enough to be brought into a network by a person who influenced you as opposed to selling you on a product or service, you understand better then most, that most people will buy into your network because they like and trust you. Don’t be a hunter of people, be a farmer.

No matter what your age or avocation, I’m convinced that everyone has a best seller in them. Don’t die with your story inside you. Breaking Bad Habits: The Number One Bad Habit

It’s Your Thinking

What is a habit? The basic definition is that it’s a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing or feeling, acquired through the repetition of a mental experience, that becomes imprinted in your neural pathway. Every habit forms a mental loop, that includes a cue, a routine and a reward.

Don’t Compromise Yourself

If you have developed the habit of negative self-talk, ask yourself whether that dialogue is getting you closer to what you really want or not. Our world needs participants, not passengers. If your nervous and fearful about life, and your negative self-talk shows this you are compromising yourself.

The Mind See What It Belives

It’s only through research, quieting the mind, and being aware, that we begin to see that we are the only ones limiting ourselves, from achieving everything we want in life. We become aware of these dis-empowering beliefs, (by listening to our own self talk) and start to realize that our minds, are filtering our life experiences to support these false beliefs.

The Scripts In Our Heads

We need to realize that everybody is nervous about different aspects of life.Successful people have learned to overcome their nervousness, their doubts,  because they have developed empowering self talk. The scripts they play in their heads over and over are not of lack and scarcity but affirmations of strength and perseverance and faith in themselves.

Chang Fear Into Excitement

Everybody has self-doubt ; everybody has fear; everybody has anxiety. But through developing and holding empowering self talk, you learn to overcome those thoughts. You can change fear into excitement.

Don’t Cheat Yourself

If we passively accept the excuses of our own negative self-talk, if we let the script play unchallenged, we cheat ourselves and everyone else in our lives. Be willing to step away from the worn path of mediocrity and corporate conformism.

Become Aware

Once you become aware of the script in your head, you sensitize yourself to it, and every time you hear it start to play, you replace it with a positive script. Soon the script, “I’m a loser and don’t deserve success”, is replaced with “If I do my best I’l succeed and be valued”

Whats The Reward

Replacing bad habits with good ones is realizing that the reward for the habit doesn’t serve you, and never has. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/dbcrist/blog/breaking-bad-habits

The Law Of Cause And Effect

We realize that our divine mind, follows the natural and unchangeable law of cause and effect. We come to realize that we are engaged with a never ending real time conversation with ourselves. We realize that the habit of self talk has immediate and concrete consequences, it’s the cause. If the self talk is positive we are energized and strong and the world is open to possibilities. If the self talk is negative, you feel it, even to the level of the cells in your body. Your self talk comprises and reflects your personal truth. With everything you feel say and do, that contaminated self image will show itself as you present it to the world. The effect, is that the world will respond accordingly.

How To Get A Job Online

Your Creative Imagination

Have you ever thought of the possibility that there’s more to you, than what your living? If you have than you have felt your creative imagination stirring. Maybe it’s trying to tell you something. According to Maxwell Maltz, we are all “goal striving mechanisms”. And it’s our God given imagination that pushes us to be better and do better than we think we can. Too many people, ignore this voice within themselves.

It’s Healthy and Normal To Want More

It’s not selfish or egotistical to want more out of life. On the contrary it’s healthy and normal. Too many people choose to live passive, reactive lives. Many don’t even realize that they are cheating both themselves and their families. If your depressed and feeling unfulfilled it may be because your not listening to this inner voice.

Our Minds Limit Us

Because of our experiences, and our very “important” opinions of them, we have formed beliefs that continue to shape our lives. Our minds naturally limit our perceptions, only to things that are in-line with our beliefs. We shut down or ignore our natural creative imaginations, In doing so we deny that which gives life meaning.

A Life Without Goals

When we stop striving to attain goals, we are blocking this essential life force, feelings of inadequacy and doubt start to creep in, and we age. When we have no goals, we are prone to go around in circles. Life becomes repetitive and purposeless, we become reactionary and egocentric. We become over concerned about how we appear to others, of what others will think. This concern blocks us from healthy normal social interactions, isolates us, and we age.

Do The Uncomfortable

To combat this a person has to get out of their head, and take action. They need to discover the power within and the courage to do things that are uncomfortable. This is especially true of the Boomer Generation.

Re-Enter The Workforce

As society continues to evolve away from the traditional Linear Life Plan of yesterday and into the Cycular Life Plan of today and tomorrow. People normally thought retired are going to want to re-enter the work force, for any number of reasons, either they need to or they want to. Either way it’s a goal, and striving for a goal keeps you from aging.

Age Discrimination

Even though age discrimination has been against the law for decades it still poses a substantial hurdle to a Boomer re-entering the job market. And no matter what the need, the only jobs available to Boomers over 60, are mind-numbing service jobs wearing an apron and paper hat, or driving for Uber or Lyft.

Trapped By Our Beliefs

Because of the experiences, and beliefs, they have had, their minds don’t even consider Internet Marketing as a possibility, they only consider jobs that are in-line with their beliefs. So many talented personable and persuasive Boomers are wasting their God given talents, because they don’t even hear that inner voice, that is telling them they can be better, and do better than they think they can. When you don’t hear and follow that inner voice, you age.

Why Network Marketing

Network Marketing is your own mini-franchise. With a low buy in, (often less than what it costs to drive for Uber), you can have access to state of the art, internet technology that is both easy and effective to use, with proven duplicatable sales systems. Work when you want, where you want, while taking advantage of multiple income streams, the best one being residual, where you get paid over and over for doing the job once.

Grow As A Person

Network Marketing grows you as a person, as you realize that the real reward, is in helping others discover a life they only ever dreamed about. You’ll be amazed, as the old false image of yourself disappears only to be replaced by an authentic self-image filled with confidence and a healthy self-esteem. All it takes is having the courage to overcome the paradigms of our mind, formed by our experiences. Don’t die with your music inside you, live long and prosper.

Why Boomers Get UberJobs

Why are so many Boomers paying $225.00 in Las Vegas to get Uber jobs?

Why are so many delivering food for Grubhub or Postmates?

Is it because:

  • Uber Job Ads are everywhere, and they hire almost everbody
  • They can’t find any other job
  • The Job is easy, no Boss, no set schedule
  • It’s fun to ruin your car for minimum wage
  • It’s better than wearing a fast food paper hat

Or is it because:

  • They can’t remember what it’s like to have passion, hope, optimism and energy
  • Their self-esteem and self-image tell them they are capable of nothing else
  • They are so afraid at failing at something again, they no longer even try
  • Because of rampant age discrimination
  • Internet Job search is just a catfish hoax
  • It’s the role assigned to Boomers by an insensitive, hostile and hurtful world

Most Abused Generation

While Boomers should be given credit for saving the American Economy by bringing it internet technology, it must also be noted that the Boomer Generation has also been the most abused by the same internet.

First Generation To Apply Exclusively Online

They were the first generation that could only get a job by filling out on-line applications, for a lot of Boomers they were forced to get computers and fax machines and copiers simply to be able to do a job application. But after sending hundreds of on-line applications it started to become clear that nobody was even bothering to read most of them.

Job Search Abuses

Taking away the face to face component to a job search has dehumanized this once democratic process. It has allowed companies to engage in wide spread discrimination, while giving applicants nothing but false hope. The job search process of today, is only a funnel for companies to sell desperate job seekers products like resume builders or technical education.

Over promised and under delivered

Because they were the first generation, to be marketed by the internet, they were over promised and under delivered on a wide variety of internet startups. This was before plug and play, so they had to plod their way through things like DOS and all kinds of initial applications that were not only not user-friendly but in a lot of cases didn’t work at all. You had to become an expert in order to run an application.

Wild West of the Internet

Problems with dial up modems and not having enough RAM were rampant. With the rise of unregulated Networking companies and tech services the stage was set for abuses They suffered horribly, at the hands of unscrupulous networkers, who sold only pyramid schemes and no product, Attorney Generals, even today are still finding abuses and scams Nationwide, and are still trying to establish consistent ground rules. The Telecom and AOL fiascoes only added to the confusion.

No Wonder so Many have Checked Out

While rapid technological advancement powered our economy to new heights, the abuses and growing pains were felt by the Boomers more than any other generation. It’s not surprising that so many Boomers have basically checked out. But if the best part of your life is in the past, something is out of whack.

Are You Dissatisfied

It’s supposed to be as we get older we become more competent, not less. Life is supposed to get better, because we are supposed to be better at it. Studies show that 1/3 of Americans are dissatisfied with their lives. I think the ratio is higher with Boomers. Because of being burned countless times, the Boomers suffer from a paralysis of analysis

How Our Minds Work

Mel Robbins, the motivational speaker and life coach, has talked extensively about how our minds work. According to research she says that the human mind has the following characteristics:

  • That the Mind is not designed to do things that are scary or uncomfortable.
  • The Mind is only motivated to do things that are easy.
  • The Mind is designed to stop us from hurting ourselves
  • The Mind does this by hesitating in making a decision.

It’s About the Decisions We Make

She goes on to say that we are one decision away from a totally different life. That life comes down to decisions, change a decision change your life. It’s all about how we respond to the shame of failure. Blame is a decision we make, checking out is a decision we make. She says we are trapped in a knowledge/action gap. That worry and self-doubt are habits we have formed over time.

Worry and Self-Doubt

Worry comes because we are afraid of something happening,it can be eliminated by converting it to excitement that something is going to happen, our bodies don’t know the difference. Everybody struggles with self-doubt, successful people have learned how to overcome those thoughts.

Stop Thinking So Much

Stop thinking so much, the Mind has two speeds, autopilot and emergency stop. We have to force ourselves to do the stuff we need to do, to be the person we want to be. The soul needs exploration and growth. The only way to do this is to force ourselves to do the uncomfortable. To go outside our comfort zone.

Help Others To Help Yourself

Instead of being safe and comfortable driving for Uber, find a product or service that can help people, live better lives. By helping others, you will help yourself.
