What is Cause and Effect?

Level of Consciousness

Our Level of Consciousness is actually the predominant energy level of all the emotions we are feeling at any particular time. Experts agree that for self-empowerment to occur a predominant energy level of courage must be reached and maintained. Above the level of courage (neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace, and enlightenment), people seek us out because we give energy to them (“power”) and we have goodwill towards them. Below the level of courage (shame, guilt, apathy, fear, desire, anger, and, pride) people avoid us because we take energy from them (“force”) and we want to use them for our own material or emotional needs.

It takes Courage

It is only through attaining and maintaining a conscious level of courage or above that, a person can transcend the role of the victim. With an energy level above courage, it becomes apparent that what the world calls the Domain of Causes is, in fact, the Domain of Effects. We attract the life we predominately think about.

Emotions Create Thoughts

Emotions and the thoughts they create have energy, these energies coalesce into powerful attractor patterns, which attract energies of the same vibration or frequency. Low-frequency emotions, like shame guilt fear, and anger, attract low-frequency thoughts which in turn attract similar vibrations into your life, through people, events, and situations. On the other hand vibrations of courage, willingness and reason attract similar energies into your life.

Thoughts Reinforce the Emotion

Emotions and the thoughts they create set the predominant attractor pattern. Thoughts originate through the emotions and reinforce the emotion with more thoughts. One emotion can create thousands of thoughts. Awareness of your emotional state is the key. It requires a certain level of consciousness to turn an indifferent, and denying Universe into a permitting and inspiring one, and that level is courage. It’s at this level, that the attainment of true power occurs, it’s the level of empowerment.

Awareness and Surrender

It takes constant awareness and surrenders to stay at the level of empowerment. Always stay focused on the emotion itself, not the thoughts. The mind files thoughts by emotion, they are often repetitive and problematic, and only reinforce the emotion from which they arose. Thoughts are the minds way of rationalizing the presence of the feeling.

You Are Not Your Emotions

Feelings or emotions come to our consciousness because of the accumulated pressure of suppressing or repressing those very same emotions. The more aware we are, the more we begin to see that all emotions are merely survival programs that the mind believes are necessary. By continuously being aware and surrendering your feelings you eventually realize you are not your feelings, but that the real you is merely witnessing these feelings come and go, come and go.

Become the Witness

As you stop identifying with these emotions, you become the witness rather than the experiencer of phenomena. This rise in consciousness allows you to get closer to your real self and see that emotions are merely programs created by the ego. These programs blind us to the truth of our real identity. The ego is not your amigo, it wants to keep us enslaved by its small self programs of shame, guilt, fear, anger, and pride.

Control your Emotions

To reiterate, it’s the understanding of the underlying emotion and its correct handling that is more rewarding and less time-consuming than dealing with these endless thoughts. As we become better able to recognize higher energy patterns we start to actively seek them out. By successfully handling our feelings and emotions, a new sense of confidence and well-being start to emerge. A fundamental shift in your conscious level occurs when you realize you are cause and your life is the effect. We live life from the inside out not from the outside in.

What is Cause and Effect?

You are the cause of your future. Your future has to become bigger than your fears so that you are willing to take action. You have to unleash the power of your mind and more importantly believe in yourself, even if no one else does. In order to become something you have never been, you have to do something you’ve never done. Have a vision. “If you can see the invisible, you can achieve the impossible”. What Comes First, a Feeling or a Thought?

Thoughts Follow Feelings

In AA, I heard the phrase right action leads to right thinking. I could never shake the idea that it was right thinking that leads to right action. With further research, I come to find out that thoughts are merely rationalizations by the ego to try and explain the feeling. But instead of explaining the feeling, constant thought on it only strengthens the feeling and the underlying lies the ego uses to explain it.

Pre-Supposition, It is the accumulated pressure of feelings that causes thought.

A[[ feelings are caused by six fears they are,

  1. The fear of poverty
  2. The fear of criticism
  3. The fear of ill health
  4. The fear of loss of love
  5. The fear of old age
  6. The fear of death

Thoughts Breed Thoughts

Thoughts are merely survival programs associated with the feelings that the mind believes are necessary. Thoughts are merely rationalizations of the mind to try and explain the presence of the feeling. These thoughts are endless and self-reinforcing and they only breed more thoughts. The mind (ego) wants to keep us enslaved by its programs. Thoughts are the resistance that keeps the feeling going. A feeling that is not resisted will disappear

We handle feelings three ways

  1. Through suppression and repression
  2. Through expression
  3. Through escape

Negative Feelings Create Pressure

These ways of handling feelings are faulty, stressful and ineffectual. Each method requires increasing amounts of energy to keep down the growing pressure of our negative feelings. There is a progressive loss of awareness and growth. There is a loss of creativity, energy and a real interest in others. There is no spiritual growth and eventually, we develop physical and emotional illnesses, and we age.

We Affect Others

The projections of these repressed feelings result in social problems, disorders, and the increase of selfishness and callousness in our society. Most damning is the inability to love, which leads to isolation and self-hatred.

One Feeling can have Thousands of Thoughts

The thoughts associated with even one feeling may literally run into the thousands. The understanding of the underlying feeling beneath the thoughts and its correct handling is, therefore, more rewarding and less time-consuming, then dealing with one’s thoughts.

Feelings create Thoughts

Fears lead to a feeling, which causes the conscious mind (ego)  to look outside itself for a reason for the feeling, all the while this thinking only reinforces and strengthens the feeling. The ego thrives on conflict, it loves to pit you against the world. The ego believes life is lived from the outside in. Spiritualists and Religious scholars all agree that life is lived from the inside out.

Like goes with Like

Finally, every feeling emits energy, either positive or negative. these different energies constellate into attractor patterns or levels of consciousness. Simply put “like goes with like”. Having an understanding of your feelings attractor patterns will help you control your thoughts.
